History
The Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society is an organization devoted to fun and friendship!
Founded in 1982 by Paul Werner and Herb Zorn of Annapolis, our chapter is one of 38 chapters nationwide, and has over 240 enrolled chapter members from over six states.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in antique and classic boats.
There is no requirement that you own a boat - only that you express an appreciation for old boats.
Our chapter hosts a number of activities each year. Among the many are: a spring workshop held at a boat yard or restoration shop; our annual boat
show and festival at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in beautiful St.
Michaels, Maryland; various cruises, rendezvous and picnics; a fall barbecue party; and the annual “Change of Watch” election of new officers.
The social aspects of our chapter help create new friendships, and allow us to broaden the knowledge of our hobby.
Our membership encourages involvement, and as a result, is an enthusiastic, friendly group that ALWAYS welcomes new interest and participation. Please contact us at www.chesapeakebayacbs.net should you like to obtain membership information.
We believe the key ingredient to our organization’s success is creating fun with our members!
